1. Who we are and what this covers
RNR Digital LLC (‘DINKLY’, ‘we’, ‘us’, or ‘our’) is responsible for the personal information described here and acts as its controller where applicable privacy law uses that term. Contact us at dinkly@rnrdigitals.com for privacy questions or requests.
The information we process depends on the features you actually use. App availability, Together+ subscriptions, and other features may vary by release and region. Subscription-related processing described below applies when billing is enabled and you interact with that functionality; it does not mean paid subscriptions are currently available in every version. This policy does not replace the separate policies of Apple, marketplaces, or websites you visit through external links.
2. Information we collect and its sources
Account and contact information: your email address, account identifier, sign-in and session information, display or character name, character selections, and preferences you provide. We receive these from you and from our authentication service. We do not receive your Apple Account password or full Apple payment-card details.
Relationship and gameplay information: partner invitations and connections, selected love-language preferences, shared or personal virtual-home settings, room layouts, inventory, hearts and gems, reward claims, completed activities, streaks, virtual adventures, and related timestamps. We receive information from your actions and, for shared features, your connected partner’s actions. Timezone choices help determine daily resets and reminders.
Website waitlists and rewards: email address, marketing choice, signup and verification status, referral codes, invite use, referral progress, reward claims, and signup timestamps. The website also creates a hashed form of the signup IP address to help detect abuse. A hash is not necessarily anonymous information.
Purchase information: where a purchase or subscription feature is used, product and transaction identifiers, purchase and renewal dates, subscription status, expiration, trial or offer eligibility, and refund or cancellation status supplied by Apple and RevenueCat. For physical orders, we may receive the order number, items purchased, delivery/contact details, and return correspondence from you or the retailer or fulfillment service, as needed to fulfill or support the order. Information collected solely by a marketplace remains subject to its policy.
Support and feedback: the messages, attachments, bug reports, ratings, and other information you choose to send us. Please avoid sending passwords, payment-card numbers, or unnecessary sensitive personal details, including information about another person without permission.
Technical and usage information: IP addresses and request logs handled by hosting and security systems; browser, platform or app-version information; and interaction or diagnostic records. App events include onboarding, character selection, app openings, shop views, and furniture previews. Diagnostic reports use categories and error codes to help investigate authentication, rewards, purchases, synchronization, and crashes. A temporary visitor identifier can associate onboarding activity with a subsequent sign-in.
3. How and why we use information
We use information to create and authenticate accounts; provide personal and shared spaces; connect partners at their request; save progress and preferences; calculate virtual balances and rewards; validate subscription entitlements; fulfill and support orders; respond to requests; and deliver requested reminders, account messages, and reward notifications.
We also use information to understand use of our services, diagnose problems, improve usability and reliability, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our terms, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Marketing communications are handled as explained below. We do not make decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you solely through automated processing. Automatic game rewards and entitlement checks are operational features, not decisions about credit, employment, or similar opportunities.
Where the EEA, UK, or similar laws require a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract for requested accounts, features, and purchases; legitimate interests in security, fraud prevention, service improvement, and responding to inquiries where those interests are not overridden by your rights; legal obligations for required records and lawful requests; and consent for marketing, nonessential tracking, or other processing where required. We do not treat reading this policy as consent to optional processing. You can withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Information needed to authenticate an account, connect a partner, or complete a transaction is necessary for that feature; if you do not provide it, that feature may not work. Optional preferences and feedback are voluntary. Our relationship features do not require you to disclose health records, sexual orientation, or other legally sensitive information. If you voluntarily include sensitive information in a support request, we use it only as necessary to handle that request and with a lawful basis required by applicable law.
4. Partner connections and shared spaces
Connecting with another person makes relevant information available to that partner, including your display or character name, character, selected love language, shared-home layout, shared inventory and balances, and activity or progress shown by the feature. Only invite and connect with someone you trust. An invitation credential can allow its recipient to review and accept a connection; keep it private.
You can use the app’s disconnect control to end a connection. In the current shared-home design, disconnecting freezes the shared home and its virtual inventory instead of automatically dividing or erasing it. Each person receives a separate personal home, and preserved shared inventory may remain viewable. Account deletion has the separate effects described below. We cannot remove screenshots or copies another person has independently saved, but you may contact us about personal information retained in our systems.
5. When we disclose information
Service providers process information needed to deliver DINKLY. Supabase provides authentication, databases, and backend functions for accounts, app state, and website rewards. Our Sites hosting infrastructure and its hosting providers, including Cloudflare, handle website delivery and technical requests. Resend is used for website transactional email delivery; configured email services handle messages and support correspondence. Access is limited to the purpose of the service and relevant permissions.
Apple handles App Store purchases and billing under its own terms and privacy policy. When subscription functionality is enabled, RevenueCat processes the DINKLY user identifier, store transaction or receipt information, purchase history, subscription and entitlement status, and related technical information to validate access, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and provide subscription reporting. A DINKLY identifier can link purchase history to your account. RevenueCat does not handle your full payment-card details for Apple purchases. See Apple’s privacy policy and RevenueCat’s privacy policy.
Retailers, payment services, shipping and fulfillment providers receive or supply the information needed for a physical purchase, delivery, or return. Our current website includes links to Amazon product listings; following a link takes you to that retailer, which independently controls its checkout and account information.
We may disclose relevant information to professional advisers, authorities, or others where reasonably necessary to meet a legal obligation, investigate fraud, protect rights or safety, or establish or defend a legal claim. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable protections and required notice. We may also disclose information at your direction, such as to your connected partner.
We do not sell or rent personal information. The current DINKLY services do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Sharing needed to operate a feature or use a service provider is described above. We will provide required notice and choices before introducing materially different advertising or data uses.
7. Email and notification choices
We send service messages such as sign-in codes or links, account notices, requested waitlist updates, and reward or purchase-related communications. These are distinct from promotional email. We record marketing choices during website signup and use consent where required for promotional messages.
You can stop promotional messages using the unsubscribe option in a message, where provided, or by emailing dinkly@rnrdigitals.com. You may also ask us to remove you from the waitlist. Opting out of marketing does not stop essential messages about an active account, transaction, security issue, or request. We may retain a minimal suppression record to respect an opt-out. Notification permission and local reminders can be disabled in your device or app settings.
8. Storage, retention, and security
We retain information for the period needed for the purpose described here, rather than applying one period to every record. Account and gameplay data support an active account; transaction, fraud-prevention, support, and consent records may be retained longer where needed for taxes, legal obligations, disputes, security, or enforcing rights. Retention depends on account status, the nature and sensitivity of the data, legal requirements, and whether a less identifying record can meet the purpose. We delete or deidentify information when it is no longer needed.
Deletion from active systems may not immediately remove information from backups or logs, which are retained according to operational cycles and restricted to appropriate recovery, security, or legal purposes. Shared virtual-asset records can remain where needed to preserve another user’s access or resolve shared-inventory issues. This does not remove your right to request deletion of personal information where the law requires it.
We use safeguards such as encrypted network connections, authentication, secure session handling, and access controls. No online service or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Protect your device, sign-in links, and pairing codes, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
9. Account deletion and privacy requests
In the mobile app, open Settings → Delete account and follow the confirmation steps. The current deletion flow permanently removes the sign-in account, profile, and DINKLY character, and disconnects any shared home. Shared hearts, gems, decorations, and layout may remain frozen rather than being transferred to either person. Deleting an account does not erase a partner’s separate account or independent records.
For website account or waitlist deletion, trouble using the app’s deletion control, or requests about remaining personal information, email dinkly@rnrdigitals.com. Identify the account and request without sending your password. We may verify control of the account and request only information reasonably needed for verification. Authorized agents may submit requests where permitted, subject to verification of their authority.
Deleting DINKLY, deleting your account, or disconnecting a partner does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Manage or cancel it in Apple’s subscription settings separately. Apple and purchase providers may retain transaction records under their own legal obligations even after your DINKLY account is removed.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and whether a law applies to our business, you may have rights to know or access the personal information we hold; obtain a portable copy; correct inaccuracies; request deletion; restrict processing; withdraw consent; or object to processing, including direct marketing. You may also have rights to opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, and limit specified uses of sensitive personal information. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights, although removing data needed for a feature can prevent that feature from working.
EEA, UK, and Swiss residents: where applicable, you can object to processing based on legitimate interests and object to direct marketing at any time. You may complain to your local data-protection authority; UK residents can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office. You need not contact us before exercising a right to complain.
California and other U.S. residents: applicable rights can include access to categories and specific pieces of personal information, correction, deletion, portability, opt-out, and limits on certain sensitive-information uses. The collection, purposes, recipient, and retention sections above describe our practices. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, including information about minors.
Submit requests or appeal a denied request by emailing dinkly@rnrdigitals.com, with ‘Privacy request’ or ‘Privacy appeal’ in the subject. We respond within the time required by applicable law, explain any lawful exception or extension, and provide applicable appeal or regulator information. Requests are generally free; any fee or refusal for manifestly unfounded or excessive requests will only be applied where law permits.
11. International processing
Our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate, which may have different privacy laws from your country. This is not a promise that data stays in a particular country. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we rely on the applicable provider data-processing arrangements and legally recognized transfer mechanisms, such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions as appropriate. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data and how to obtain a copy, subject to necessary redactions.
12. Children and age restrictions
DINKLY’s relationship app and account-based online services are intended for adults aged 18 or older, or the age of majority where higher. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, or below another age requiring parental consent under applicable law. Physical games have their own product age guidance; purchasing a game does not require a child to create an online account. If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact us so we can investigate and remove it as required.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will revise the date above and give additional notice of material changes where required, such as an in-app notice or email. Where a new use requires consent, we will obtain that consent rather than treating a policy update as permission.
